I am a full-time freelance writer who develops content for Internet resources and websites. I know how to research, troubleshoot and put my experience on the page for other people to use. Professional Writing

I have over four years of experience as a professional writer in the non-profit sector. During that time, I worked as materials development creating educational and promotional documents. This includes:

• Planning, researching, and designing technical and business documents
• Developing graphics and text for fliers, brochures, booklets, e-zines, annual reports and information packets
• Creating media documents such as press releases, public service announcements, and newspaper advertisements
• Acting as main writer, editor, graphic artist and developer for a bi-monthly newsletter
• Assisting in grant writing, management and research
• Proofreading and editing both fictional and technical documents.

 

IT & Computer Support

Computers began as something I learned about as a hobby. However, along with my professional writing duties, I also worked computer support for four years in the non-profit sector. My experience includes:

• Designing and maintaining a professional website
• Managing a small business network, email and internet for a user base of approximately 50 employees
• Managing, upgrading and installing individual computers in the business network
• Providing support, training, troubleshooting and problem solving for technical issues
• Managing e-mailing lists and virtual bulletin board systems.
